For vista and up users wanting to play
online, those new to torrents, anyone experience problems or if you just need a general setup guide please read and
follow the instructions below.
1. After download the installation files go to the containing folder (most
like "Downloads") and move the installation files to a data storage folder where it wont be moved, bothered or deleted
as this is where the crack is, it manipulates the CD files in a sense and acts as a virtual disk when needed.
2. Now that you've found a good location for the installation files, open the folder and run the "Setup.exe" file.
3. Setup is all normal, for advanced users you cant set your file directories to where ever you'd like. For
Normal user just go with the recommended settings.
4.(VISTA USERS AND UP WANTING TO PLAY ONLINE OR ANYONE
EXPERIENCING MULTIPLAYER PATCH INSTALLER FAILURE.)
After running setup, Right click the shortcut made during
installing and click "Run As Administrator" once in game and at the main menu click multiplayer, the game will prompt
you to download the new patch, click yes. Eventually the patcher installer with pop up, and after running normally it
will prompt you to insert disk 1. Click the X or Cancel, DELETE ALL shortcuts made during installation, they will most
likely be on your desktop or task bar.
5. After properly running through steps 1 through 4 go to your program
files folder (NOT the installation files folder we talked about earlier) but the one most likely located at
C:/User/ProgramFiles/RiseOfNationsGold. Right click the shortcut file labeled "Rise" and click "Create Shortcut". Drag
the newly created duplicate of the pre-existing shortcut to the desktop or where ever you please and you can now enjoy
game play, cd free :)
DOWNLOAD AND SEED! These are prime files for RTS lovers and Torrent Junkys alike. (I'm
aware the files are not compressed, i prefer not to as it is impossible to restore full file quality after
compression.)
